Immunization Program

Routine childhood vaccinations have made such an impact on public health that immunizations are considered one of the greatest medical achievements of the 20th century. Vaccines prevent disease in people who receive them and protect those who come in contact with unvaccinated individuals.

The Vernon County Health Department offers vaccines to individuals with an active ForwardHealth, BadgerCare or Medical Assistance card at check-in.

For uninsured individuals or families we just ask for a $2 donation per shot, but no one will be turned away for inability to pay.

The Health Department is no longer allowed to vaccinate individuals whose private health insurance provides vaccine coverage, regardless of co-pay or deductible.
